Oxbird
0xbird is an innovative solution to manage the optimization of satellite bandwidths used during humanitarian crises. This solution integrates the latest technological advances in Quality of Service (QoS) on the new generations of satellite networks. It enables network traffic to be shaped to take advantage of the new capabilities provided by this QoS. Other services, such as Voice over IP (VoIP), will benefit from these features. In addition, content and application filtering will improve the efficiency of the satellite bandwidth.
This solution meets the very specific needs of Internet use during humanitarian emergencies. It must adapt to the constraints of these situations, especially to their unpredictable and temporary nature, from a few weeks to a few months, until the availability of more conventional connections or, failing that, until the end of the response phase.
The collected statistics will allow TSF to know the most critical uses in order to give them priority.
