Our mission

Protection to people affected by crises

TSF's mission is to alleviate the suffering of people affected by humanitarian crises. We respond to all types of crises and provide support in communication, access to information, and digital inclusion. Our interventions follow the Core Humanitarian Standard principles, and everyone working for TSF is committed to complying with our Code of Conduct.

Responsible Use of Technologies

TSF takes a positive and clear-eyed view of new technologies. These tools are extraordinary means of making a real difference for people affected by crises. However, we also recognize that these tools can bring additional risks in humanitarian situations, due to misinformation and the misuse of personal data. We are also aware of the environmental impact of new technologies, both in terms of energy consumption and raw materials.

We are committed to promoting the sober and responsible use of technologies to help people affected by crises, with respect for human beings and the environment.

Immediate Response Capacity

Immediate response to sudden crises has been part of our DNA since our inception. Our team has specific tools and expertise based on the NGO's 25 years of experience in setting up functional and effective means of communication for people affected by crises and for relief organizations in highly constrained humanitarian emergency environments.

With the evolution of technology and humanitarian aid, TSF is transforming its approach to immediate response to integrate it into a perspective of localization and resilience.

Contributing to community resilience

Build Strategic Alliances

On the operational side, TSF has demonstrated its effectiveness by collaborating with humanitarian actors and response mechanisms. Drawing on its network of local teams, TSF intends to develop regional and national alliances in order to implement more sustainable actions involving communities and contributing to their resilience.

At the same time, TSF has developed close ties with partner companies in the satellite and telecommunications sectors. These partnerships with the private sector strengthen mutual understanding and give concrete expression to these companies' CSR commitments and values, while bringing the reality of humanitarian needs closer to the technological solutions available.

These partnerships also illustrate the two pillars of TSF's identity: humanitarian aid and new technologies.
