Access to information

During a humanitarian crisis, a poorly informed decision can put people's lives and safety at risk. People in crisis situations are particularly vulnerable to misinformation and disinformation. However, in a rapidly changing environment, humanitarian organizations on the ground do not always have the adequate means to effectively share useful and relevant information with communities..

Distributing reliable information

For more than ten years, TSF has been adapting technical solutions to disseminate reliable information to communities affected by crises via digital media in reception centers. We identify the technologies best suited to each context and collaborate with suppliers to devise actions that are optimized in terms of impact and effectiveness.

Collabororate to tailor information to needs

We collect information from a network of local partners whom we involve in updating and improving content. We verify and select vital, recent, and diverse information from reliable sources: this concerns rights and responsibilities, safety and risks, existing services, and any opportunities to improve their situation through administrative procedures or access to employment. We adapt the content to suit different audiences, particularly their languages, so that it can be understood and accessed by as many people as possible.

Activities of access to information

  • Centralization of information from the humanitarian network
  • Formatting of information to make it accessible to target populations
  • Dissemination of information in reception centers for migrants, refugees, or asylum seekers
  • Planned implementation of immediate response
